James Barton 81 Cocasset St., Foxboro, MA (as of 1998) writes William Pendal
married Mehitable Parker about 1676 probably in New London, New London Co., CT.
They had sons born in 1677 (Jonathan), 167k9 (John), and 1683 (Richard) and an
undated William, and I would guress that one on them was the father of Sarah
Pendal who was born in 1718. Ffor some reason the Pendal/Pendell family fails t
show up n the standard genealogical sources for New England, and I have been
able to find them only here and there in the town records of Bolton, Vernon, Ne
London and Windsor. I have been looking for them for wuite some time, and they
have so far proven rather elusive.
The most likely solution to this problem is that Sarah Pendal is the daughter o
the undated William on whom there is so little information and that with his
father having the same name the two were mixed up.
