Union refers to Union, Broome County, N.Y.
Above book also states that William Cafferty removed from Red Bank, N.J to
Imlaystown, N.J. and later to Allentown, N.J. where many of his descendants
still live. And that the marriage license of John McCafferty and Elizabeth
Creidock is dated 21 April 1744 in Monmouth County, N.J.
Josiah Cafferty's son Joseph left a record stating that his father came to
America from Northern Ireland when he was 16. (Since Josiah was born in 1753
that would put the date of him coming to America about 1737.
