Frequently Asked Questions
Custom PDF Chart Service
A: We have partnered with TreeSeek.com for all our custom charting services.
Free PDF Charts
A: Some of the charts allow you to fill them out and some don't. Hopefully we will allow them all to be filled out in acrobat at some time.
Q: Can I print these charts out and give them away, or sell them?
A: Absolutely. We only ask that you do not modify the chart in any way.
Q: Where do I download the free charts?
A: You need to add the free chart(s) to your cart and checkout as if you are buying them. The charts are free so we DO NOT ask you for any payment information at checkout. After checkout you should instantly receive an email that provides the location to download the chart(s). Or, you can go to your account downloads page and find them there.
GED Browser
A: Since GED Browser does not know at which individual it should start building the pedigree chart from it just guesses. It will start with the person with the lowest RIN number. To change this to another individual, identify the RIN number of the person you want in the primary position. If you don't know the RIN number of the person want to use, you can find it by locating the individual in the GED Browser created HTML and looking at the number at the end of the URL. In GED Browser click on the Advanced Settings button, and enter the RIN number of the person that you want to be the primary ancestor in the "Primary RIN Number" field.
Q: How much does GED Browser cost?
A: GED Browser is free to download and use.
Q: Why do I have display problems when using a GEDCOM version 5.5 database?
A: Try exporting your genealogy in an earlier or different gedcom format.
Q: Why do accented characters and diacritics like ä ö ü à è ß not display correctly?
A: The gedcom file you are using is probably in the ANSEL format. We only support ANSI formatted gedcom files at this time.

A: To reduce the size of the files that are generated you can do the following things:
1. Reduce the number of generations displayed in each pedigree chart.
